  • Mr. & Mrs. Franklin Pride 2026  Welcome to the Disco Pageant

  • Contestants should submit their application by 5 pm on the day of the Pageant. The entry fee will be $50. Payment can be subbmitted at application time or when you arrive (between 3-5 pm on the day of the  Pageant). If a contestant arrives at the Pageant without registering in advance, and/or after 5 pm, their entry fee will be $80.00 (cash).     All contestants must be checked in by 6 pm. Failure to do so will result in points being deducted.

    Divisions 

    Ms. Franklin Pride

    The Ms. Franklin Pride division is appropriate for individuals whose stage persona identifies as female, regardless of gender identity. 

    Mr. Franklin Pride

    The Mr. Franklin Pride division is appropriate for individuals whose stage persona identifies as male, regardless of gender identity.

     

  • Contestant Application

  • Official Rules & Regulations
    Contestants will be judged in the following categories:
    ● Creative Presentation (400 points)
    ● Evening Gown/Formal Wear (400 points)
    ● Talent (600 points)
    ● Judging will be on the total number of points accumulated.In the
    event of a tie, the Person with the highest talent score will win.

    ● Franklin Pride does not discriminate against entertainers with silicone
    and hormone use. The use of silicone and/or hormones will not be
    considered by any judge in scoring contestants.
    ● All music must be on a flash drive, clearly labeled, with the contestant's
    name and title of the song. It is strongly suggested that additional copies
    be immediately available in the event that the original becomes unusable.
    All music must be on a flash drive in the following order.

                        1 Presentation,  2 Talent, and 3 Crowning Number.                                              At  Crowning, the Mr. will perform 1st, and Miss will perform 2nd
    .
    Creative Presentation-

    • There is a three (3) minute limit.
    • There is NO set-up time for props. Props may be used but no set up is allowed.
    • The contestant will present themselves one at a time to the audience and judges in the themed presentation. Using the microphone on stage, the contestant will state the following at the beginning of their   presentation:
    ○ Name
    ○ Contestant number
    ○ Why their costume represents the theme
    • Contestants will provide their own music for this category and can either lip sync, model with their costume or both.
    • Contestants will be judged on their costume by
    ○ Creativity
    ○ Fit
    ○ Ability to model costumes
    ○ Speaking ability
    ○ Music selection
    ○ Overall effectiveness of presentation and introduction.

    Evening Gown/Formal Wear
    • Each contestant will be judged one at a time in a full-length evening
    gown for Miss contestants and formal wear for Mr. contestants.
    • It may be of any color, style, and fashion.
    • Contestants will be judged on the following.
    o Gown/Formal wear selection

    o Fit
    o Hair & Makeup
    o Accessories
    o Poise
    o Modeling ability
    o General appearance.
    ● Music will be provided for this category.
    Talent
    ● This category is timed
    ○ Two (2) mins limit for prop set-up
    ○ Five (5) mins for talent performance
    ○ Two (2) mins for prop tear-down
    ● There will be a 1 point per judge deduction for time infractions
    ● Each contestant will be judged in a Talent selection of their choice.
    ● Any type of talent is acceptable except those that may cause injury to
    themselves, the audience, or any other person.
    ● Contestants will be judged on:
    ○ Talent Ability (lip-sync, dance, live vocal, etc)
    ○ Entertainment Value
    ○ Costuming and Makeup
    ○ Sound Quality
    ○ Effectiveness of Props and dancers, if used.
    ○ Remember, if you put props and/or dancers on the stage with you,
    they will be judged as well.
    ● NO Glitter, NO Confetti, NO Fire, and NO Water may be used At Any Time,

    NO Exceptions

    Prize Package
    ● $300 cash Total Prize package for each Division
    ● (1⁄2 night of pageant and 1⁄2 at step down)
    Disqualifications and/or Point Deduction•

     Music must not contain any racial slurs and will result in disqualification

    • Absolutely no nudity is allowed and will result in disqualification •

    The use or dispensing of any illegal substance will not be tolerated while any contestant is participating in the pageant. Immediate disqualification and ejection from the premises will occur for anyone breaking this rule. • Excessive consumption of Alcoholic Beverages by the contestant, helpers, or dancers will also resultin disqualification.
    • Any contestant not in the appointed place at the appointed time (i.e.
    contestant check-in, start of pageant, etc.) will have a one point per
    judge deduction.
    • Any contestant, dancer, or helper who is caught in the act of stealing or
    tampering with another person's property will be ejected from the
    premises and will cause immediate disqualification of said contestant.

  • I understand the following:

    • All decisions of the Franklin Pride Pageant 2026 judges are final and binding                                                                                                                                                 • Contestants judged to be impaired and/or intoxicated may be removed from Pageant competition by Franklin Pride at any time.
    • Participation in the Pageant is voluntary, and Franklin Pride and Play Dance Bar are not responsible for any liability which may be incurred by participation or competition in the Pageant.                                                               
    • Franklin Pride reserves the right to make any decisions concerning any matter not covered by these rules.
    • Only the contestant is granted free entry to the bar. All dancers and helpers must pay a cover charge.                                                                                      By signing your application, I hereby agree:
    1. To release myself from any rights to any videotaping (sound and or video), photography, recording, still camera or motion pictures of the pageant, crowning etc. I understand that I have no right to any of the recordings that I appear in/on or future advertising. I agree that my name or any photographs taken of me during pageants, events, etc may be used for publication & promotional purposes or in any advertising publicity.
    2. Agree not to hold Franklin Pride responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage of personal property regardless of whether loss occurs before, during or after pageant or other pageants or at any event.
    3. The Title holder agrees that while appearing, entertaining and representing the Title on and off stage your behavior will uphold the Title to the highest esteem.                                                                                                               
    4. Maintain current contact information throughout your reign.
    5. Communicate all your participation in any events, pageants,
    performances etc the Pageant Coordinator.
    6. Attend & participate in the Franklin Pride Events throughout the year, including mandatory attendance at the Franklin Pride Festival on June 6, 2026, and other Franklin Pride events as agreed upon by both parties. .
    7. Not to be deemed guilty of any other unreasonable act that is considered demeaning to the Title or the promoter & club owners, including malicious gossip and damaging the image of the Title and the promoter & club owner.
    The Title Holder agrees to maintain your Title and represent Franklin Pride in the highest esteem while appearing, entertaining, or representing the Title throughout the year.
