About Us:

Alif Schoolhouse is a child-centered holistic education program. Our faith-based cooperative model is designed to thoughtfully bridge the child's learning experience to their home life by integrating parents and community into the learning experience. Utilizing this evidence-based approach allows us to collectively raise more confident, curious, and resilient learners. We seek to nurture a strong sense of self-awareness and aspiration during this crucial and delicate stage of development.

As a cooperative program, most families commit to taking on responsibilities that are essential to running the program (e.g. administrative help, classroom volunteer time, and helping coordinate extracurricular activities). We also understand that the potential time commitment that each family can make may vary. 

Are there any strengths/gifts/talents that you could contribute that would benefit other parents and children at Alif (e.g. tech savvy, could teach a language, skilled in martial arts, could organize a star-gazing event or a bird-watch, etc.)? If so, please place them in the text box below :)

Due to the cooperative structure of program and heavy parental involvement, all parents are asked to submit to a background check upon applying. Please note that we DO NOT discriminate against community members that have challenged histories. Rather, we assess whether that history specifically involves questionable interactions with children. If you have any questions or concerns about the background check, please indicate them in the text box below.
