If parents and authorized persons cannot be reached during an emergency, and treatment is considered urgent in the judgement of school authorities, do we have permission to send child (properly accompanied) to the hospital or doctor most easily accessible?

New to 2024-2025 School Year- Newberry Academy will not adminster any medication to any student, prescription or over-the-counter, unless a completed Authorization to Administer Medication Form is filed at the school and the medication has been provided according to the policies in the Authorization to Administer Medication. This form will be available at back to school night, and may be accessed at the link below.

Does Newberry Academy have permission to use your childs visual image? This includes but is not limited to video, electronic and print publications, social media, and websites.
Does Newberry Academy have permission to share your contact information with other Newberry Academy families for school-related and non school-related activities? This information will be limited to phone numbers and email addresses ONLY, and will be included in our 2024-2025 School Family Directory. Physical address information will NOT be shared.
Does Newberry Academy have permission to transport your student by representatives of Newberry Academy to any off-campus events? By agreeing to this statement, Newberry Academy is absolved of any liability stemming from any accident or incident that occurs during transportation.
At Newberry Academy, students in grades 1-12 will receive a Google Workspace for Education account. Google Workspace for Education is a set of educational productivity tools from Google that are managed by school administration. A full copy of the Google Workspace for Education Notice to Parents and Guardians may be accessed on our website under Admissions. *

2024-2025 Tuition and Fees
Tuition has been divided into 12, 11, and 10 month draft plans, and a 10 month bill plan. A copy of the full Financial Schedule is on our website under Admissions.
Tuition Plan Selection- The Bank Authorization ACH form is available on the school website under Admissions, and at the link below. This ACH form may be used for monthly drafts plans or to pay tuition in full, and may be kept on file for any future school related charges such as late stay program, summer program, athletic and lunch fees, etc. Current families do not need to submit a new auto-draft form each year unless you would like to update your account information. Pay in Full invoices will be sent by early March, and monthly draft and bill plan invoices will be sent by early June. Please do not send tuition payments to the school until you have received an invoice. ACH Bank Authorization Form
Draft plans: Monthly draft payments will debit on the 15th of each month

Bill plan: Monthly payments are due on the 1st of each month and late after the 10th ($25 late fee applies). Payments may be paid by cash, check, or over the phone through our business office at 803-339-2760. A 3.5% credit card processing fee applies. *Monthly bill plan will no longer be offered after the 2024-2025 school year.

Discounts and Additional Fees:

Family Discounts: Students in 2K-K5 not eligible. Second Child Discount- $500.00 Third (and all subsequent) Child Discount- $1000.00

Service Discount: Service tuition discount of 5% for Military, Police, EMS, Safety & Security Professionals. Please send service information to the business office at [email protected].

Extracurricular Fees: Athletics: $150.00 per child/per sport with the exception of football and shotgun- football and shotgun fees are $250.00 per child/per sport. $300.00 maximum per student, $400.00 maximum for students who participate in shotgun and/or football.

Jr. Civitan: $20.00 per child, Jr. and Sr. Beta Club: $32.00 per child.

Tardy and Student Badge Fees: Tardy fees are assessed at the end of each semester at $10 per tardy over three tardies. Replacement Student ID Badge Fees are $25 each occurrence, $50 after the 3rd replacement.

Parents’ Council Fee: Newberry Academy encourages parents to be active with their child’s education and within our school community. Parents’ Council asks each family to commit to eight hours of volunteer service during the school year or pay a $300.00 fee in lieu of this service time. This fee must be paid by August 30, 2024 for families who choose to pay the fee. Any unearned hours will be billed at $37.50/hour in the spring.

Withdrawal Policy: If a student is withdrawn during the school year, please refer to the Enrollment Agreement for withdrawal protocols. All account balances must be paid in full before student records can be released, including a $250 withdrawal book fee.
Registration fees are $200.00 per student and may be paid by check, cash, or bank draft for current families only with account information on file. Your enrollment is not complete until this fee has been received.*
- I would like my registration fee drafted (current families only who have ACH information on file), and I authorize Newberry Academy to deduct this fee from my account on file at this time.
- I will submit my registration fee now by check or cash. I understand I will not receive enrollment confirmation or acceptance and a space will not be secured until this fee has been paid.
2K-5K Families Only- There is a $15 one time supply fee for 2K-3K students, and a $50 one time snack fee for 2K-5K students. If you would like this supply fee (2K-3K only) and/or snack fee (2K-5K) drafted at this time with your registration payment, please indicate below. 4K-5K students will receive a supply list at a later date.
I understand that all families are required to donate a minimum of 8 hours of volunteer time during each school year or pay a $300 fee to our Parent's Council Program. Our Parent's Council Program is a parent organization that works to support and strengthen the mission of our school community. We ask if you know that you would like to pay the fee up front, that your fee be paid in full by August 30th, 2024. Partially unearned hours will be prorated and billed at the end of the school year and charged with your final tuition payment. More information about our Parent's Council Program and how to get involved may be found on our website under Programs.*
- I understand and agree I will be required to provide 8 hours of volunteer hours or pay a $300 fee to Parent's Council.
I authorize Newberry Academy to draft (or bill, if no account information on file) any outstanding unpaid fees at the end of each semester. This includes, but is not limited to, any outstanding lunch, athletic, library, parents council, tardy, and after school fees.*

Enrollment at Newberry Academy requires a financial commitment for the entire school year regardless of attendance or withdrawal, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Head of School. All tuition and fees must be paid in full according to the financial schedule.*
